Wild video shows seaplane crashing into boat, leaving two hospitalized
Terrifying video caught the moment a seaplane crashed into a speedboat as the aircraft was preparing to take off in Canada, leaving two people hospitalized.
The caught-on-camera horror unfolded in the middle of Vancouver’s Coal Harbour on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
A shocked onlooker had been filming the plane as it gathered speed across the water when the small boat suddenly came into view, a clip of the ordeal shows.
Just seconds later, the seaplane violently plowed over the top of the vessel — completely ripping off part of the boat’s roof.
The collision sent the plane flying into the air before it abruptly nosedived and plunged back into the water.
“No!” someone can be heard shouting as the aircraft started to sink.
Two people who were aboard the boat were hospitalized in the aftermath, the Vancouver Sun reported.
It wasn’t immediately clear how severe their injuries were.
Meanwhile, the pilot and five plane passengers were miraculously uninjured, authorities said.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating the crash.
