After decades of inspiring people to move their bodies, Simmons was set to debut a new production that promised to be an energetic and celebratory experience.

The innovative show was reportedly set to feature an open space near the stage where theater lovers could join in on the fun.

Adding to the excitement, Simmons partnered with music industry heavyweight Patrick Leonard, known for his collaborations with artists like Michael Jackson and Madonna, to create the show’s soundtrack.

Beyond preparing for the Broadway show, RadarOnline reports that the TV personality reflected on past birthdays, sharing nostalgic memories. He posted a photo from his first birthday and reminisced about gift exchanges with his brother Lenny.

The post also offered a glimpse into his thoughtful gift-giving habits, detailing how he spoiled his parents with personalized presents throughout the years. In his words, Simmons recounted:

“I bought my father cotton handkerchiefs with an S monogram as well as a cologne made with Patchouli. I bought my mom a fragrance by Germaine Monteil called Royal Secret. She preferred the bath oil to put on her neck because it lasted longer. When that fragrance was discontinued, she became an Oscar De La Renta lady. Also, each month, I sent them a check so they could buy anything they wanted.”
