According to the National Foundation for American Policy (NFAP) analysis, between 2013 and 2023, Indians immigrating to Canada rose from 32,828 to 139,725. However, studying at Canadian universities can be expensive, leading students to rely on part-time jobs. A video of a sea of Indian students queuing up for a job at Tim Hortons has caught the Internet’s attention.

Shared by content creator Nishat on Instagram, the viral video shows the student going on a job hunt at Tim Hortons job fair in Toronto. The moment he reaches the outlet, he sees dozens of Indian students lined up to get a part-time job.

Canada has demand for these jobs.” Another user commented, “This is not the Canada I came to 8 years ago. It was full of opportunities, growth and what dreams are made of. I don’t even recognize this country anymore. Everyone had plenty of growth and employment opportunities. I found a part time job in 2 weeks while studying and the stories I hear now break my heart.”

“Due to unnecessary overcrowding in Canada, it is almost impossible to find a job for survival. All JT government’s fault,” a third user said.
