Waltham man plans to travel with  million lottery prize

WALTHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – A man from Waltham is the winner of the first $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “Bonus 100X” instant ticket game.

According to the Massachusetts Lottery website, Wemerson De Jesus chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes. His plans for his winnings are to travel.

The ticket was purchased at Highlander Farms on Waltham Street in West Newton. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale of this ticket.
