Vikings rookie Khyree Jackson’s car was completely totaled in fatal crash, photos reveal

The Saturday morning Maryland car crash that left Vikings rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson and two of his high school teammates dead left the vehicle they were in completely totaled, according to new photos.

The Dodge Charger was seen completely flattened on the back of a tow truck with the rear of the car entirely severed from the rest of the vehicle, according to pictures obtained by TMZ.

Another angle showed the interior of the car poking through the vehicle’s body after the wreck in Upper Marlboro.

The crash left Jackson, Anthony Lytton, Jr. and Isaiah Hazel — all former football players at Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School — dead.

“All three victims were occupants of a maroon Dodge Charger involved in the crash,” Maryland State Police said in a statement. “Hazel was the driver. Jackson was the front seat passenger and Lytton was seated in the rear of the vehicle.”

Jackson, 24, and Hazel, 23, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash while Lytton, 24, was transported to a local hospital, where he was then pronounced dead.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash, according to Maryland State police, including also a silver Infinity Q50 and a silver Chevrolet Impala.

The driver of the Infinity Q50 allegedly tried to change lanes at a high speed and hit the Charger before striking the Impala.

Jackson was a star at Oregon before he was drafted by Minnesota in the fourth round (No. 108 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft.

“I am absolutely crushed by this news. Khyree brought a contagious energy to our facility and our team. His confidence and engaging personality immediately drew his teammates to him,” Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said in a statement Saturday. “In our short time together, it was evident Khyree was going to develop into a tremendous professional football player, but what was more impressive was his desire to become the best person he could be for his family and those around him.

“I am at a loss for words. My heart goes out to Khyree’s family, friends, teammates and coaches.”
