Video reveals suspect in shooting of two young boys, 12 and 13, at NYC McDonald’s
The NYPD released video early Monday of a masked suspect in the weekend shooting of a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old boy in a Bronx McDonald’s.
The footage shows the alleged perp strolling around the fast-food eatery on White Plains Road in the moments before the gunfire erupted late Saturday.
It shows the suspect wearing a surgical face mask while pacing through the McDonald’s with his hands stuffed inside the pockets of a hooded sweatshirt.
Police rushed to the scene after reports of a shooting came in just before 10 p.m — with the gunman firing off at least six shots before fleeing, cops said.
When officers arrived, they found the 12-year-old boy with gunshot wounds to his back and left leg and his friend nursing a bullet hole in his left thigh, according to police.
Both kids were rushed Jacobi Hospital Medical Center in stable condition, police said.
The motive for the shooting wasn’t immediately clear.
Cops are urging anyone who recognizes the alleged perp to contact NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip at the Crime Stoppers website.
