Uncle Howdy and his group of misfits debut on Raw
Monday Night Raw this week opened with the intro glitching, distorted audio playing as Michael Cole and Pat McAfee outright said they believed this would be the evening we got answers on all the weird QR code teases over the past couple months. “Tonight’s the night, right?”
Then, the entirety of the show played out with not a peep from them. Jey Uso qualified for the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match in the main event match. It seemed the night was done then.
Except there were still a few minutes left until the top of the hour.
Sure enough, the lights went down and a familiar tune started playing. Our first visual was a woman crawling up to a lantern. She pointed behind her and we saw bodies laid out underneath someone wearing a mask. The Gorilla position looked decimated, lights flashing to show us blood and destruction and another masked figure sitting with his legs crossed right next to it all. Then, yet another masked figure, standing in the smoke.
Chad Gable was shown laid out, blood on his face.
Then, the camera panned to none other than Uncle Howdy himself. The assorted group of misfits slowly made their way out to very loud cheers. They ended the segment picking up the lantern, announcing “we’re here,” and then blowing it out.
