Travis Scott ‘abandoned’ outside Miami jail after yacht fight arrest
- The rapper posted bond and found himself deserted outside the Miami jail
- Scott was arrested Thursday morning on drunk and disorderly charges
- He allegedly got into a fight with a boat owner who asked him to leave the dock
Travis Scott was ‘totally confused’ when he walked out of a Florida jail and found himself deserted after his drunk and disorderly arrest Thursday morning, DailyMail.com has learned.
The Astroworld rapper was let out of Miami-Dade’s Turner Guilford Knight Corrections Center after posting $650 bond around 7 a.m. – but was met by no driver or security guard nor any members of his entourage.
‘Travis was released on bond just before 7 a.m., wearing black shorts and a black jacket,’ an insider said.
‘When he walked out, there was literally no one there to meet him. He was all by himself, no security guards nothing.’
‘He looked totally confused because he was trying to get picked up and was looking for his driver. Eventually his driver appeared and picked him up.’
His current whereabouts are unknown, but his private jet is still in Miami.
News of the 33-year-old’s arrest was breaking at approximately 8:20 a.m., with Scott still showing as a current inmate on Miami-Dade Corrections website’s booking roster.
But as media was starting to gather at the detention facility, it emerged by 9:30 a.m. that the hop-hop star – real name Jacques Webster – had already been released.
Court records show Scott was booked into the facility around 4:35 a.m. after he was busted at Miami Beach Marina for allegedly causing a disturbance with a boat owner who had asked him to leave.
Miami Beach PD’s incident report claims the Sicko Mode rapper had a ‘strong smell of alcohol’ coming from his breath when cops arrived on the scene at 12:44 a.m.
When probed about whether he had been drinking alcohol, Scott said ‘it’s Miami’ and admitted that he had.
A source familiar with the situation told DailyMail.com the fight was verbal in nature and ‘there was no physical altercation with anyone’.
The complainant said he did not want to press charges but just wanted Scott off the vessel.
The wealthy musician was ordered to leave the dock or he would be arrested, and did so walking backwards towards the boardwalk ‘yelling obscenities’ to the occupants.
Scott is said to have arrived at his waiting vehicle and told one of his security personnel to exit the car, telling officers: ‘If he gets in the vehicle he’s gonna catch a fade’. The report notes the term ‘fade’ is said to be slang for fighting.
Scott then left the area but allegedly returned five minutes later and approached the vessel once again, bypassing officers in the marina’s parking lot despite being told to stop.
‘The defendant began yelling once again becoming erratic disturbing the peace of the occupants of the arena and nearby residential buildings causing a public disturbance’, the report states.
‘The defendant also disregarded the officers warnings not to return to the Miami Beach Marina.’
Scott was charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing and hauled off to jail where he posed for a blear-eyed mugshot.
He appeared to respond on social media with a tweet simply reading ‘lol’ at 8:45 a.m. Thursday.
The booking comes just days before his international Circus Maximus stadium tour, which kicks off June 28 in the Netherlands.
Scott was recently spotted enjoying a family vacation in St Tropez.
He was pictured on a boat with his daughter Stormi and son Aire late May – kids he shares with ex-girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
The previous week, Scott was involved in a skirmish with Jenner’s previous ex Tyga, 34, in Cannes.
