Travel Marquette requests resident input on Marquette County tourism

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – Travel Marquette is requesting input on tourism from residents of Marquette County.

The organization is conducting a resident sentiment survey to collect your thoughts on how you and the county have been impacted by tourism.

Susan Estler, Travel Marquette CEO, said they’ve sent surveys to their partners to learn where they’ve been directing tourists, so they wanted to get perspectives from the residents as well.

“By getting the sentiment from the residents as well, it kind of gives- it kind of rounds out everything so it’s not just, you know, official people who are with the trail organizations or municipalities, DNR, any of those things, it also includes our residents as well,” Estler said.

The survey seeks to learn things like how busy certain places are, your concerns for the area and what sort of tourist you’d like to see.

Resident feedback will help Travel Marquette shape future initiatives to benefit the community.
