Travel Delays Expected for Completion of Gas Line Installation in College Township

Drivers should anticipate travel delays as Columbia Gas completes gas line installation over the next two weeks at intersections in College Township.

The East College Avenue intersections with Pike Street and Houserville Road will have lane restrictions and flaggers directing traffic beginning Tuesday, according to the township. Work to complete the installation and final paving is expected to occur through June 28.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes or to check real-time traffic GPS for the latest conditions.

“If travel through this intersection is necessary and alternate routes cannot be utilized, please proceed with extreme caution to protect the safety of the road crews,” the township wrote in a news release.
