Today’s horoscope, July 2, 2024: Life is like a jigsaw puzzle without a picture on the box
HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY, BY HOLIDAY MATHIS
When Neptune reverses, life is like a jigsaw puzzle without a picture on the box. This is not one of those repetitive images that is purposely difficult to put together because every piece is so similar. No, there’s a more satisfying and beautiful subject coming together. You just have to get a good amount of the puzzle assembled before you see what it is.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Nothing that happens today belongs all in one category, which will activate your talent for taking in complexity. Shakespeare writes in “King Lear,” “Matter and impertinency mix’d! Reason in madness!”
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). In operas, the star-crossed who risk everything for love often wind up in dramatic situations with songs bellowing beautifully to blow up the loss to epic proportion. It’s a little like that today, though maybe less melodic.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). If there’s a target, you want to know why it’s there, what makes it important and how likely you are to hit it. This information will figure in largely to your decision-making process today.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You’re not a “joiner” in nature, and yet when you are asked to join, if the group is interesting enough, investigation feels warranted. You’ll find out how the communal agenda matches your independent spirit and proceed accordingly.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Heavy energy will lift like a fog. Your attitude will be the sunshine that evaporates it. Since you’ll be able to see much better in this fair emotional weather, it’s an excellent opportunity to reevaluate recent decisions.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You’re always improving, and therefore you don’t need to concern yourself with improvement. It will happen naturally. The part of you that leans into the person you want to be is already that person.
Other advice columns
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). While some are concerned with the flavor and aesthetic values of the meal, you’re more concerned with the nutritional value, and this speaks to your approach to many things totally unrelated to food.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Since you can’t experience yourself as an outsider, you won’t know how you’re coming across, and that’s normal. Even if you had a camera on it, you wouldn’t get the whole picture, so it’s not worth worrying about. Just know that you’re enough and take a bold step.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Just because a person is in a role doesn’t mean they actually have the typical knowledge or authority associated with the position. There will be an opportunity to unofficially step in and assume a responsibility and claim what goes along with it.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You’ll notice voids — spaces in the conversation, holes in the plan, pauses in the schedule, feelings that have very little charge to them. Don’t rush to fill anything. There’s beauty, wonder and good fortune in spaciousness.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Your imagination soars and lands on a bright idea. Maybe it’s slightly outside your current means, but this will change. When you execute it, what follows will be a rush of abundance.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). It may seem as though your experience is commonplace, but it’s not at all the case. Share your observations and your stories. Your unique perspective and background will help others process what’s happening.
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (July 2). Your drive is amplified by your certainty of purpose, which grows stronger than ever. Even if you don’t know at this moment what the burning desire is, it comes to you and quickly becomes a rich source of energy, creativity and discipline. More highlights: Fascinating characters will assist you. Thriving vitality and health, and key additions to your team. Sagittarius and Scorpio adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 2, 29, 4, 41 and 18.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Larry David turned the final episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” into a callback and rewrite of the final episode of “Seinfeld,” which was widely unpopular with fans. In his defense, no one wants the shows they love to end, so it would be a difficult thing to ever get right. David was born when the sun and Mercury were in Cancer, and he has the hard-shell humor deflector to prove it. He was born when the moon was in Capricorn, the sign of moguls.
