Timberwolves Announce Plans for Western Conference Finals Fanfest

Team Launches ‘Wolves Back’ Block Party Presented by Treasure Island Resort & Casino

Fan engagement opportunities for Game 1 will bring back watch parties at local network of bars

Minneapolis-St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced planned fan engagement opportunities for all home games throughout the Western Conference Finals, including a ‘Wolves Back’ Block Party presented by Treasure Island Resort & Casino starting on Friday, May 24.

“We are so excited to kick-off the Western Conference Finals this week, activating downtown in a variety of ways, including a ‘Wolves Back’ Block Party on Friday,” said Timberwolves and Lynx Chief Operating Officer Ryan Tanke. “It’s an incredible time to be a Timberwolves fan and we look forward to providing the best fans in the NBA with exciting opportunities to gather and celebrate Wolves basketball.”

“This is a moment twenty years in the making. So, today’s the day to Bring Ya A** downtown and support our Wolves,” said Mayor Jacob Frey.

Beginning later today for Game 1, fans can visit nearly a dozen downtown bars and restaurants for official Wolves watch parties. Each will include drink specials and merchandise giveaways, including sunglasses and koozies.

Friday’s Game 2 will see the launch of the ‘Wolves Back’ Block Party presented by Treasure Island Resort & Casino. The block party begins at 4:00 p.m. outside of Gluek’s Bar & Restaurant and will include live programming and entertainment, DJs, food and beverage offerings, fun fan activations, appearances by select Wolves alumni and broadcasters and a large screen on stage with a live broadcast of the game. Other details include:

  • Pregame entertainment featuring Minnesota artists Nur-D and DJ Cav
  • Michelob ULTRA Mobile Bar: fans can purchase Michelob ULTRA and Michelob Golden Light
  • Jack Daniel’s Bar: canned Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola, along with other varieties
  • Sprite: Sprite samples
  • Chick-fil-A Trailer: Chick-fil-A will be onsite offering Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwiches for purchase
  • Treasure Island Resort & Casino Activation Zone: Treasure Island Resort & Casino will have their big spin-to-win wheel onsite for a chance to win great prizes
  • Timberwolves Team Store Truck A Fanatics Experience: fans can purchase officially licensed Timberwolves Western Conference Finals gear and more
