Tiffany Stratton’s WWE push is back on track after her ‘honest mistake’ on social media

Some places do power rankings. Here at Cageside, we do a stock report.

In this weekly series, we identify three Superstars (or groups of Superstars) who are on their way up, and three that are moving in the opposite direction. After a busy week that included Money in the Bank, a lot of fortunes were changed.

With that in mind, let’s see whose stock decreased the most this week:

Stock Down #3: Bron Breakker

One of the reasons why Breakker has been an unhinged lunatic over the last couple months is because he was left out of the King of the Ring tournament, which he believes he definitely would have won. However, it looks like Bron is more bark than bite after he lost clean against Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn at Money in the Bank. Bron might have to press the brakes a little bit on the tough talk and instead work the mid-card for a little while in order to improve his game.

Stock Down #2: Damage CTRL

It was another week of disappointment for Damage CTRL, with IYO SKY failing to win the Money in the Bank ladder match and Dakota Kai failing to even qualify for the match. I think it’s time to finally see what SKY has in mind when she says the group needs big changes to fix this slump.

Stock Down #1: Pretty Deadly

Pretty Deadly returned to in-ring action on SmackDown for the first time in three months with a loss against the Street Profits. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins aren’t exactly a hot act in WWE, so Deadly is starting off on the wrong foot now that they are back on TV.

Now let’s see whose stock increased the most this week:

Stock Up #3: DIY

The best WWE match of the week may very well have been the SmackDown main event, where Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defeated A-Town Down Under to become the new WWE tag team champions. Gargano and Ciampa have never really received a big push on the main roster, so this could be the start of the run they’ve patiently been trying to earn.

Stock Up #2: Tiffany Stratton

Stratton’s push in WWE stalled around the time of her controversial social media post in May. She recently addressed the situation in an interview with Adrian Hernandez, calling it an “honest mistake”:

“It was an honest mistake. I didn’t hear the audio, and I had it up for maybe 20 seconds, and I deleted it instantly as soon as I heard the audio. It was an honest mistake.”

This quote is likely the end of that story, and Stratton’s push is now back on track in WWE after she won the Money in the Bank ladder match in Toronto. With the contract in hand, there’s a very good chance that Stratton will become a world champion in WWE at some point over the next 12 months.

Stock Up #1: The Bloodline

This one is pretty simple; Solo Sikoa pinned Cody Rhodes in the main event of Money in the Bank. Cody is the top star in WWE and perhaps the most protected wrestler on the full-time roster. Based on this booking, it appears that Solo has a SummerSlam main event with Cody Rhodes lined up, and then a feud with the real Tribal Chief Roman Reigns some time after that.

There you have it, Cagesiders. Whose stock do you think changed the most this week?
