Three Individuals Travel For NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships – Florida State University

TALLAHASSEE – Three Individuals on the Florida State women’s tennis team will travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma, for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships beginning Monday. 

Vic Allen and Ellie Schoppe will be competing in the 64-player singles tournament, and the duo of Allen and Millie Bissett are in the 32-pair doubles tournament. 

Allen is ranked 21st in the ITA singles rankings and finished the season with 15 wins, including six over ranked opponents. Allen earned ACC Player of the Week for three consecutive weeks in March and April.

Schoppe is the 35th-ranked singles player in the nation and earned 15 victories in singles with seven against ranked opponents. The Stuart, Florida, native earned ACC Player of the Week in February.

The pair of Allen and Bissett are ranked 17th in the ITA doubles rankings and earned 13 victories together, including three top-15 wins. The duo went a perfect 7-0 in the month of March and earned ACC Doubles Team of the Week following a weekend sweep of Georgia Tech’s 12th-ranked pair and Clemson at No. 1 position. 

The singles tournament kicks off on Monday and the doubles tournament begins on Tuesday. The seeds and times are to be announced. Live stats and video will be available on Seminoles.com.
