This Low-cost Carrier Just Announced a Major Florida Expansion with Flights to Palm Beach, Sarasota, and Orlando
Low-cost Allegiant Air is already looking ahead to winter with new routes to help travelers escape to sunnier destinations in Florida.
Starting November 14, the airline will launch a total of eight new nonstop services to Clearwater, Palm Beach, and beyond. Travelers from smaller cities such as Grand Rapids and Cincinnati will be able to visit the popular vacation destinations, the airline confirmed to Travel + Leisure. The full list of new flights include:
- Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB)
- Flint Bishop International Airport (FNT) to Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS)
- Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids (GRR) to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI)
- New York Stewart International Airport (SWF) to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)
- Portsmouth International Airport (PSM) to Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ)
- Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) to Punta Gorda Airport (PGD), Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL), and St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE)
Allegiant will be the only carrier to serve these nonstop routes, although each service will only operate a few times weekly. The low-cost carrier sells flights up to nine months in advance, so travelers can book flights through winter and until spring break season.
“The addition of new routes is a testament to the success of our existing service in these communities,” said Allegiant’s chief revenue officer, Drew Wells, in a statement. “Our network planning team is responsive to consumer demand, constantly looking for opportunities to enhance the leisure travel experience. The new service kicks off just in time to plan warm winter getaways to sought-after coastal destinations.”
Travelers can now book all of these flights directly through Allegiant’s website, and introductory fares are available for as low as $39. However, these sale fares must be booked by the end of the day tomorrow, July 17, for travel anytime through Feb 10, 2025. aZZZZ
