This Central Florida hospital will have an amphitheater, shopping options, more
LAKE NONA, Fla. – One might not expect to find an amphitheater, shopping and restaurants all at a hospital but once complete, the campus will be an attraction for even residents who don’t need medical care.
AdventHealth has begun work on a 10-story hospital located at 10999 Narcoossee Road in Orlando’s Lake Nona community. Not only will the state-of-the-art hospital offer leading-edge treatments to patients from Central Florida and around the globe, but it will be home to a medical office building and multiple buildings housing retail and dining options.
According to a news release, the hospital is planned to open with 80 beds, with room to expand to 320, and will feature a warm and inviting design, with artistic touches in keeping with Lake Nona’s character.

“We envision this as a health and wellbeing destination, integrated into the Lake Nona community with something to offer to everyone,” Doug Harcombe, CEO of the hospital, said in a release.
Services at the new hospital will include men’s health, bariatrics, neurology, cardiology, orthopedics and more.
The hospital will also feature an incisionless surgical suite, with a focus on focused-energy treatments. These leading-edge techniques include using ultrasound to destroy tumors and to stop tremors in patients with Parkinson’s disease.
The new hospital is part of Lake Nona’s continued focus on fostering wellness and community. Beyond healthcare services, the 25-acre campus will include a lake promenade, an event lawn, an amphitheater, and a tie-in to the Lake Nona Trail.
“As the fastest-growing community in Central Florida, we are eager to ensure our residents have access to the most innovative treatments available,” Craig Collin, president and COO of Tavistock Development Group, said in a release. “We are pleased to have AdventHealth expand its presence in Lake Nona.”
The hospital is expected to open in 2026.
