This Airline Has One-Way Flights to Europe Right Now for As Little As $214

It’s not too late to score a record-low deal to Europe this summer thanks to TAP Air Portugal’s latest fare sale, which has one-way flights starting at $214. 

The limited-time promotion is available for travel now through Sept. 15. There’s no promo code or end date to the sale, so travelers can snag these deals on a first-come, first-served basis, as confirmed by the airline to Travel + Leisure.  

“Summer is peak season for travel to Europe, so it’s amazing to see such great deals in July and August,” said TAP Air Portugal’s director for the Americas, Carlos Antunes, in a statement shared with T+L. “There’s never been a better time to plan a summer getaway to Portugal and beyond.”

Travel + Leisure searched through the list of deals and found the best round-trip flights on sale:

• Newark (EWR) to Barcelona (BCN): $430 
• Washington, D.C. (IAD) to Madrid (MAD): $440
• Boston (BOS) to Ponta Delgada (PDL): $498
• Chicago (ORD) to Rome (FCO): $502
• Miami (MIA) to Valencia (VLC): $740

It’s worth noting that travelers who book the “Discount” fare option can only bring a personal item and carry-on bag, while checked luggage and meals onboard will come at an extra cost. 

While TAP Air Portugal operates nonstop service from the U.S. to Lisbon (LIS) and Porto (OPO), travelers can easily visit other European cities like Madrid, Rome, and beyond with a quick layover. It’s also possible to extend the layover in Portugal for up to 10 days at no additional cost before flying to the next city when booking directly on the airline’s website. 

The airline has increased frequencies on its flights throughout peak summer, operating up to nearly 80 flights every week between the U.S. and Portugal. TAP Air Portugal is part of the Star Alliance, so travelers can earn and redeem miles with frequent flier programs such as United MileagePlus.
