These are the Prime Day baby deals worth shopping, per a new mom

Each year Prime Day rolls around and catches the attention of parents across the country, myself included.

Amazing deals, free next-day or two-day shipping for Prime members, and all from tapping a few buttons in the comfort of your own home. Really, what’s not to love?

As a first-time mom, there always seems to be a train of thoughts running through my head, but two seem to be overpowering — what’s my daughter doing and what do I need to buy her next? Once you have a baby, you leap into the never-ending wonderland of wallet-draining baby products; car seats, cribs, strollers, diapers, bottles, toys, and clothing that’s outgrown every five seconds. I’ll stop there because you can see where this is going.

Sorting through all the products you may need to stock up on can be a bit overwhelming during the first trimester of pregnancy, and combing through the Amazon Prime Day deals to figure out what’s worth it and what’s not can be just as difficult. Since my job (when I’m not chasing my one-year-old around) is deal-hunting, I’ve done the dirty work for you.

Over the last year, I’ve consulted numerous baby-rearing “experts”, from pediatricians and doulas to mommy influencers and caregivers of all sorts. Naturally, I’ve also tested numerous baby products firsthand, assessing them for quality, safety, and usefulness.

Below, I’ve compiled a list of the best deals on baby items that I’ll argue are worth the buy — and yes, they’re all on sale for Prime Day.

Baby essentials

Pampers Swaddlers Diapers

Amazon

If you’re seeking a trusted name brand for diapers, Pampers are the way to go. We reviewed them here and can attest to their impressive absorbency level and flexible material for ultimate comfort. Millions of parents love them, and now’s the time to stock up since you know you’ll be flying through them’ fast.

Huggies Natural Care Sensitive Baby Wipes

Amazon

You heard it here first! Huggies is running a great deal for Prime Day this year in addition to excellent sales on some of their most popular products — like Huggies Natural Care, fragrance-free wipes. If customers buy $90 of participating products, they will receive a $30 Amazon credit to spend on whatever they want!

SHEWIND Stroller Fan

Amazon

Summer heat is in full force. Keep your baby cool and refreshed no matter where you take them with a simple stroller fan. Simply attach the twistable tripod to the base of the stroller, tilt the head towards your little one, and let them relax in a burst of refreshing air. Melt-down, evaded.

Owlet Dream Sock

Two devices with screens
Amazon

This might be my favorite deal on the list. The Owelet Dream Sock is a gem for anxious new parents who can’t sleep through the night (I’m talking from experience.) This smart ankle sleeve tracks your baby’s sleep and vitals and sends emergency alerts if health readings fall outside the preset ranges, so you can rest peacefully knowing they are safe and sound.

Evolur Zoodle 2 in 1 Baby High Chair

Amazon

Another fantastic investment: this award-winning Evolur Zoodle High Chair grows with your baby, featuring an adjustable feeding tray and two footrests. You can start by using this high-chair at the table, and convert it into a toddler chair as your little one grows. It’s also got the rest of the essentials; a five-point safety harness, padded shoulder belt, and removable seat cover for easy cleaning.

Dr. Brown’s Insta-Feed Baby Bottle Warmer and Sterilizer

Amazon

If you don’t already have one of these dual bottle warmers and sterilizers, do yourself a favor and order one now. The built-in warming feature uses steam to heat bottles to the perfect temperature at the press of a button and the sterilizing function eliminates 99.9% of bacteria on bottles, nipples, pacifiers, and all your small baby accessories without the mess of boiling water or dishwashing.

Frida Baby Ultimate Baby Kit

A collection of baby items
Amazon

When it comes to registry essentials, Frida Baby always tops my list. This brand makes excellent starter packs for expecting parents and new ones alike. I recommend taking advantage of this deal on the Baby Essentials Gift Set, which includes the less-glamorous items that you may need more than you think (nail clippers, a thermometer, a nasal aspirator, a finger toothbrush, and more). It’s valued at $118.

NUK Silicone Baby Suction Plates

Amazon

Never underestimate the power of a suction plate. These little feeding sets are going to keep your kitchen floors that much cleaner — especially if you have a baby who prefers throwing their food over eating it. I also love that these silicone sets are also divided to into four sections to keep your baby’s food organized for proper portioning.

Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow Anti-Colic Bottles

A group of baby bottles
Amazon

As far as baby bottles go, Dr. Brown’s seems to top many parents’ lists. The anti-colic internal vent system is clinically proven to reduce colic and reduce spit-up and gas, and a breast-like nipple shape encourages a proper latch. The silicone material provides a consistent flow to ensure your baby is getting the nutrients they need. This starter set comes with three levels of nipples to keep up with your baby through every stage.

Video Baby Monitor with Camera and Audio

A baby monitor and camera
Amazon

A video monitor — but make it just for babies. The HelloBaby monitor has all the features new parents want: infrared night vision, two-way audio for communication, room temperature monitoring, and it can play lullabies. It’s hard to beat it, especially at 33% off.

Aveeno Baby Gentle Bath Wash & Shampoo

A group of plastic bottles with blue lids
Amazon

Prime Day is a great time to stock up on essentials — baby shampoo being one of them. The popular Aveeno brand is gentle on sensitive skin, paraben-free, formulated just for babies and doubles as a shampoo (which means twice the savings).

The Honest Company Clean Conscious Unscented Wipes

A stack of white and black packages
Amazon

For “diaper duty and beyond,” Honest Company makes a line of completely unscented, clean, conscious compostable wipes for all your cleanup needs — dirty kitchen counters or a post-workout refresh included. They’re also dermatologist-tested and recognized with the National Eczema Seal of Acceptance, which means they’re safe on skin prone to rashes and breakouts.

Sun Bum Baby Bum SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion

Amazon

Baby don’t burn! With summer in full blow, it’s never a bad idea to add to the sunscreen supply. Formulated just for kids’ and babies’ delicate skin, Sun Bum’s Baby Bum mineral sunscreen provides SPF 50 protection and is free of harmful fragrances and dyes. The lotion also rubs into the skin and absorbs quickly, so as not to leave sticky marks behind that could irritate soft skin.

A baby wrapped in a white towel
Amazon

Two reasons I love this hooded towel for bath nights or pool days. The double-layer rayon is sourced from bamboo for excellent durability, softness, and absorbency. Plus, subjectively, it’s the cutest baby towel on Amazon right now. It comes in the creature of your choice — dinosaur, gorilla, panda, unicorn, duck, monkey, and more. I need them all.

A yellow and blue inflatable toy
Amazon

Babies’ first swimming lesson? Whether you’re trekking to the beach or filling up your backyard kiddie pool, this adorable floatie is the perfect way to get your little one accustomed to the water, while offering a canopy for sun protection.

Burt’s Bees Baby Swaddles

Amazon

You’ll be running through dozens of swaddles in those early days, and this set from Burts Bees may just win you over (it did for my daughter). The 100% organic cotton material is far superior to others I’ve purchased. It keeps your newborn’s temperature regulated on warmer and colder nights without a problem and is uber-gentle on their porous skin.

Hello Bello Premium Diapers

A box of diapers
Amazon

Hello Bello’s line of plant-based diapers is super-soft, absorbent, and offered on sale in multiple sizes. Parents swear by the extra-gentle texture, with some reviewers pointing out that switching to this brand helped rid their babies’ diaper rash. Each pack comes with 128 diapers.

Starting solid comes with a whole new territory, and thankfully the Nuby Mighty Blender comes with its own Cookbook to help guide you along the way. This 22-piece set has everything you can think of and more; a variety of blades to nail down different textures, a microwave-safe steaming basket, stay-fresh lids, food storage cups, freezer trays, feeding spoons, and much, much more.

If you have any family road trips or vacations planned this summer, you’re going to want to invest in a foldable bassinet. The Boppy comes with everything you need for safe sleep: a lightweight, portable bassinet, an easy-to-clean mattress pad, and two bassinet sheets. My favorite part? No assembly is required ‚ it pops right up to save your time packing and unpacking.

Safety 1st Auto-Close Pressure-Mounted Magnetic Latch Gate

A white gate with metal bars
Amazon

Don’t knock the dog gate to the baby gate pipeline. As soon as your baby gets their crawling down, you’ll be chasing them all over the house. This magnetic, pressure-mounted gate swings open with just one touch so you can keep an eye on them from one room at a time.

Storkcraft Timeless Reclining Glider

A white recliner chair with a pillow
Amazon

We all want to know Storcraft’s secret. These famous 260-degree swivel chairs are made with cushioned, upholstered fabric that provides just the right amount of structure for late-night nursery feedings. Since you’ll be spending plenty of time reclining on one of these, it’s even been equipped with a USB charging port, and a raised back pillow for ultimate support.

UPPAbaby Vista V2 Stroller

A baby stroller with a basket
Amazon

There should be no reason to buy more than one stroller in your lifetime. With the UPPAbaby, you don’t have to. Described as the “ultimate grow-up,” the exceptionally durable Vista V2 stroller is constructed to grow with your family. What you see pictured is a single stroller, but the set-up can easily be transformed to accommodate up to three little ones with added adaptors. Reviewers have noted that it glides easily over a variety of terrains — even thick mud and puddles, and the lightweight build makes it easy to tow around. If you’ve been waiting to bite on this expandable carriage, now is the time to do so. Like we said — it’s rare to snag this for less than $1000.

Babyletto Lolly 3-in-1 Convertible Crib

Amazon

Babyletto is another adored baby furniture brand, and it’s not often you can score the Lolly Convertible crib for much less than $500. The low profile design and four adjustable mattress positions make it easy to find the right height to put your baby down comfortably. Major points for style, too. The modern New Zealand pine wood has been constructed with high-contrast accents to turn it into a statement-worthy nursery piece.

Evenflo Shyft DualRide Infant Car Seat and Stroller Combo

Amazon

If you live in an urban area, this stroller-meets-car-seat will change your life. I was told this before I moved to New York City, and now I know why. The Evenflo transitions from an infant car seat to a stroller in one simple step, saving you from buying both items and making your commute that much less painful. You know what I mean if you have a baby and hop in and out of Ubers all the time.

Evenflo Pivot Xplore Dreamz All-Terrain Stroller Wagon

Amazon

It’s not summer without a stroller wagon. This versatile four-wheeler includes a comfortable bassinet insert for children from six months to 33 pounds. A breathable mesh guard and wide UPF 50+ canopy help keep them protected from powerful rays on sunnier days. The detachable storage basket doubles as a great drink holder for adults.

Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Car Seat

Am

The Graco Convertible Car seat is another smart buy as far as value goes. The reason why — it converts from rear-facing to forward-facing to accommodate your baby as they grow (spanning from four to 65 pounds). Avoid replacing your outgrown seat with this two-for-one deal.

Baby Jogger City Sights Stroller

Amazon

If you’re in the market for a lightweight stroller built to withstand various terrains, you’ve hit the jackpot. The Baby Jogger City Sights Stroller weighs in at just 25 pounds and is marked down 40%. A reversible seat lets your baby take in the sights from either direction, and the four-wheel modular system is ideal for anyone gliding between sidewalks, rockier roads, and grassier terrains.

Toys

Loveevery is among the trendiest toy brands of the modern age and for good reasons. Each toy set is tailored to meet your child’s developmental stage and delivered with an easy-to-follow learning system that helps teach parents the best way to play and learn. Since these comprehensive kits are on the pricier side, I recommend buying them when on sale for Prime Day.

Zany 2-in-1 Baby Activity Center and Bouncer

Amazon

Perhaps not the most aesthetically pleasing bouncer for parents, but the colorful Zany activity center is sure to keep your babe entertained day and night. The rotating seat allows them to explore a sea of sensory-friendly toys, lights, music, and colors while practicing pushing their toes off the floor.

Swimways Sun Canopy Inflatable Baby Spring Float

Sassy Tummy Time Floor Mirror

Amazon

Behold the ultimate hack to tummy time. Let’s face it: the best gift you can give a baby is the one of showing them their reflection in a mirror — why not set this little guy in front of them for their daily workouts? They’re going to be keeping their head up and crawling in no time with a little bit of encouragement from this lady bug-ladden reflector.

A doll next to a box
Amazon

A timeless hyper-realistic toy piece that never seems to go out of style — the American Girl Truly Me Doll has gone on sale and is available in countless models to find your little twin and forever bestie. They’ll stay busy brushing her hair, dressing her up, and showing her around all day long.

Radio Flyer Red Rider Trike

There’s no ride quite as cool as this classic red Trike by Radio Flyer. This iconic three-wheeler is a great first set of wheels for toddlers who have their balance (mostly) down. Quiet tired provide a smooth ride and a convenient back storage bin is the perfect place to pack a few snacks or water to stay hydrated from all that peddling.
