The best early Prime Day 2024 deals

Prime Day doesn’t officially kick off until July 16, but it seems Amazon didn’t get the memo and is rolling out some awesome deals early. Some of our favorite games, accessories, collectibles, and toys are already on sale ahead of the main event happening in mid-July.

Highlights include discounts on the Modern Horizons 3 bundle for Magic: The Gathering, the Dune: War for Arrakis tabletop game, and the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro wireless gaming headset, as well as dozens of deals on our favorite movies and games.

Naturally, we’ll monitor all the best deals ahead of Prime Day and update this page accordingly.

The best video game deals of Prime Day

• Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown reimagines the time-tripping platformer as a vivid Metroidvania for the Nintendo Switch that you can pick up for just $29.98 from Amazon (was $49.99).
• Armored Core 6 is FromSoft’s mech magnum opus, featuring as much narrative intrigue as it does frenetic combat. You can get the PlayStation 5 version for $48 from Amazon (was $59.99).
• Octopath Traveler II weaves together eight interlocking stories in a refreshingly modern take on classic console RPGs. Both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 versions are on sale for $39.99 from Amazon (list price $59.99).
• Persona 5 Tactica is Atlus’ take on the turn-based tactics genre — think XCOM but with a cat that can transform into a bus. Both the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch versions are $30 from Amazon (list price $59.99) while the Xbox version is $35.
• Sonic Superstars is a new spin on the 2D Sonic formula. Yes, we knew what we said. Amazon is selling the PlayStation 5 and Xbox versions for around $30 (list price $59.99).

The best toy deals of Prime Day

Joytoy makes some of the best Warhammer 40K action figures available, and a number of excellent selections are on sale for Prime Day. For example, the Blood Angels Intercessor is on sale for $26.99 at Amazon when you clip the on-page coupon (was $29.99).

• Another Joytoy option for the worshippers of the Omnissiah, the Warhammer 40K Skitarii Ranger action figure is currently on sale for $34.57 at Amazon (was $45.60).
• Many consider the six-barreled Strongarm to be the default Nerf Blaster. This slamfire blaster features a flip-out chamber for easy reloads and is currently on sale for $9.99 at Amazon (was $19.99).
• The Nerf N Strike Elite Cyclone is six barrels of violence. Loaded with Nerf’s massive Mega darts, the Cyclone is currently on sale for just $21.99 at Amazon (was $26.99).

The best board game deals of Prime Day

Dune: War for Arrakis is the most recent tabletop strategy game inspired by Frank Herbert’s sci-fi saga. War for Arrakis offers asymmetrical starting options for up to two players and comes packaged with enough miniatures to choke a sandworm. This epic tabletop game is currently discounted to $122.99 at Amazon (was $139.99).

• 7 Wonders is what happens when you make Age of Empires into a card game. This simple and quick empire-building game is currently discounted to $51.72 at Amazon (was $59.99).
• Azul is a board game where you work with friends to build an exquisite tile mosiac. This beautiful board game is on sale at Amazon for $31.97 (was $39.99).
• Perhaps the greatest board game ever made, HeroQuest, the simple, fast-paced, miniature dungeon-crawler, is currently discounted to $66.48 at Amazon.
• Ticket to Ride, the classic route-building game from Days of Wonder is currently available for $43.97 at Amazon (was $54.99).

The best MTG deals of Prime Day

The Modern Horizons 3 Bundle is the best way to introduce yourself to the largest Magic: The Gathering expansion of 2024. This box includes nine booster packs for Modern Horizons 3, an alternate-art foil card, 30 lands, a life tracker die, and a storage box. 

• An awesome bundle featuring all four Commander Decks for the Fallout Universes Beyond expansion for Magic: The Gathering is on sale for just $179.08 at Amazon, its lowest price ever (was $240).

The best D&D deals of Prime Day

Even with the revised fifth-edition rulebooks rolling out in September, this gift set that bundles the Player’s Handbook, Monster Manual, and Dungeon Master’s Guide is an excellent value. The gift set features a DM screen and special edition foil covers for the rulebooks in addition to a slipcase storage box.

• An illustrated history of Dungeons & Dragons, the Hugo-nominated Dungeons & Dragons Arts & Arcana: A Visual History is currently on sale for $26.13 at Amazon.
