Tec Centro receive $8 million to help unemployed find jobs
LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — Tec Centro is looking to help those in poverty and unemployment, and now they are receiving state funding to further their cause.
The bilingual workforce training organization Tec Centro is receiving $8 million dollars in state funding to offer numerous programs and training courses for a variety of industries and career paths. These courses give individuals opportunities to increase their skillsets to prepare them for the workforce.
Lancaster Representative Ismail Smith-Wade-El said “We know that funds that come to this network will be well-used and will be used for the purpose that they were intended, which is to benefit the people of the commonwealth, not 50% of the time, not 75% of the time every time.”
The company is continuing to grow in the Midstate, with new locations expected to open in Harrisburg and York within the next six months. Tec Centro also has locations in Lebanon and Reading.
