If you asked me, I never would have guessed that Nevada is one of America’s top three fashion hotspots. However, when it comes to clothing boutiques and stores, a state that draws millions of tourists each year is bound to be included on the fashion hotspot list.

Thanks To Las Vegas, Nevada Is An American Fashion Hotspot

All you have to do is walk into any of the major resorts on the Las Vegas Strip and you’ll soon see why Nevada claims one of the top three spots in a recent survey focusing on our nation’s fashion hotspots.

So, just to be clear, this survey is all about the number of clothing outlets in a state when compared to its total population. Of course, New York City is not only America’s fashion hotspot, but also one of the world’s top cities for the latest trends in clothing.

The results of this particular survey are provided by the expert t-shirt wholesaler ShirtMax. And not only is it a surprise that Nevada ranks in the top three, but also that New York doesn’t take the top spot.

In fact, The Big Apple lands in second place, even though that state has close to 20,000 clothing outlets. When compared to The Empire State’s total population, there are just over 99 fashion boutiques, shops and stores per 100,000 residents.

Which American state could possibly beat them out in a fashion hotspot comparison study such as this? Believe it or not, it’s Hawaii! The Aloha State offers over 154 clothing stores per 100,000 people. Of course, Hawaii is one of our nation’s biggest tourist havens, along with New York City and our home state of Nevada.

As a matter of fact, Nevada ranks third in this survey, with a total of 3,057 fashion boutiques, shops and stores. The Silver State averages out to over 95 clothing stores per 100,000 residents.

Other Fashion Hotspot States In The U.S.

According to the ShirtMax fashion hotspot survey results, Delaware ranks as the number four state, averaging over 92.84 stores for every 100,000 people.

The Sunshine State of Florida, another American tourist haven, comes in fifth. Believe it or not, they have more clothing stores than New York. Close to 21,000 fashion boutiques, shops and stores, averaging 92.44 stores for every 100,000 residents.

Other states in the top 10 include New Jersey (#6), New Hampshire (#7), Mississippi (#8), Louisiana (#9), and Rhode Island (#10).

I’m sure you want to know which state comes in last place in this fashion hotspot survey. It’s West Virginia. So “take me home, country roads,” and feel free to scroll down for more content which may interest you.
