Wakefern Food Corp., the nation’s largest retailer-owned cooperative, announced that its supermarkets will host hiring fairs on July 27, offering career opportunities and valuable retail experience.
The walk-up job fairs will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at store locations throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland. Interested candidates can visit most participating ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace, The Fresh Grocer, Gourmet Garage, or Fairway Market stores to speak with hiring representatives for immediate interviews.
Job seekers can check online if their local store is participating (Wakefern published a list for stores not participating).
Positions available include full-time, part-time, and management roles, depending on location.
Available positions span general, perishable, front end, and stocking clerks. These roles offer flexible hours and extensive cross-training to equip employees with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to work as a team throughout the store. Training programs, which include a game-based training app, provide a solid foundation for individuals to achieve their best and pursue career goals. Each job offers opportunities for career growth and is integral to the operation of the Wakefern cooperative and its retail banners and stores.
