Superman movie stirs up fun, but also road closures

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Filming continues on set of the new Superman movie in downtown
Cleveland and that means more road closures.

The movie closed Lakeside Avenue Tuesday.


SkyFox was flying when production crews disassembled the downtown Metropolis set along Superior Avenue.

Lakeside Avenue started to transform and giving Clevelanders a closer look at some of the movie props.

“They put Metropolis on city hall over there,” said David Wells.

This comes just one day after the Man of Steel himself was seen filming in his iconic costume.

Road closures will continue through July 6.

City officials said that road closures are to, “ensure the safety of both the film crew and the public.”
