Stocks await Nvidia earnings, Target, Fedspeak: 3 Things

Stocks (^DJI, ^IXIC, ^GSPC) are preparing for Nvidia’s (NVDA) earnings due out after the market close, which could be a make-or-break factor for May market rallies.

Target (TGT) narrowly missed first-quarter estimates on the top and bottom lines as the retailer reports consumer pullbacks on discretionary spending.

Minutes from the Federal Reserve’s latest FOMC meeting will be released this afternoon, giving a clearer indication of where the Fed stands on interest rates following commentary from central bank officials.
