Steph Claire Smith works out everyday during her Fijian island getaway
Steph Claire Smith is enjoying a lavish holiday in Fiji.
And while most would be overjoyed for a well-earned rest, the fitness influencer, 30, has been exercising hard throughout the trip.
On Wednesday, the Keep It Cleaner co-founder shared a gallery of images from their island resort while documenting her exercise routine overseas.
‘Obsessed with my fitness routine over here. The facilities for moving your body are AWESOME!! Been following our mid year challenge here, following @kic.app workouts on the beach in the morning, or on the deck outside of the gym,’ she wrote.
‘There’s morning yoga, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, the gym itself is a great size and has awesome pieces of equipment (not always the case in hotel gyms so thought it was worth the mention!),’ she continued.
Steph revealed she and her husband Josh Miller were taking turns to look after their son Harvey, three, while they each got their daily exercise in.
‘Josh and I have been taking it in turns with H while we move our bodies and we’re feeling so good,’ she added.
The relaxing getaway comes after Steph took to her Instagram Stories earlier this month to share an update about her son’s sleeping patterns, calling the experience her ‘worst night’ ever as a parent.
Steph first uploaded a screenshot of a wellness app page that showed she’d only had three hours of sleep.
‘Well that was the worst/most challenging night in the three years of being a parent,’ she captioned the graph.
She then shared a photo of herself lying in bed next to her son, looking very unimpressed.
‘Got home from the theatre at 11pm, hopped straight into bed. 11:30 Harvey woke from a nightmare, Josh resettled, we thought he was back asleep, ten minutes later he’s awake yelling out,’ she began.
‘Josh tried to resettle but Harvey was set on sleeping with us. So I got into his bed, and 20 minutes later he told me he wanted to go into our sparer room, didn’t want to sleep in his room. So I did. Only to be awake for another half an hour with him until he was patting me hard and wouldn’t stop, honestly like he was stuck and couldn’t hear me.’
Steph went on to explain Harvey was then ‘adamant’ to go downstairs to sleep in his parents’ room.
However, as soon as Steph relocated to her bed with Harvey, things went from bad to worse.
‘Then began the no sleep, kicking our backs, climbing onto our heads, anything BUT sleep. Fast forward past a few breakdowns from Josh and I, Harvey finally gave in and realised it was a nightmare, at 3:30am,’ she said.
Steph said she and Josh woke up at 6:40, so only enjoyed three hours of sleep.
‘Why does everyone warn you about the shocking sleep you get with a newborn but fails to mention toddler nights can be so friggen hard too?’ she lamented.
‘Fingers crossed tonight he goes down okay and I will be in bed right after!’ Steph added.
Steph and Josh welcomed their first child back in May 2021.
The pair married in November 2019 in a festival-themed ceremony along the Murray River, exactly one year after getting engaged at the same location.
