Stefon Diggs reveals his true Josh Allen feelings after Bills trade

Stefon Diggs isn’t letting his trade from Buffalo ruin his relationship with Josh Allen.

Speaking for the first time since being dealt to the Texans, Diggs opened up about his relationship with his former Bills quarterback on Tuesday.

“He was an intricate piece of my career,” Diggs said of Allen, per NFL.com. “… When I left Minnesota, I was a good player. But I always felt more for myself. I felt like I was better than that – that I could be better than that. And kind of up to that point, I was just like ‘S—. I’m going to roll the dice and bet on myself.

“When I got to Buffalo, Josh was and still is my guy. People don’t really understand what it’s like to be out there. He really embraced me. He kind of had that southern hospitality. We spent a lot of time together and I probably wouldn’t be right here if it wasn’t for him. I got a lot of love for that boy, so y’all give him a hug and a kiss for me.”

There has been much speculation about the wide receiver’s relationship with Allen and the team dating back to 2023 when the Bills were eliminated by the Bengals in the divisional round.

During that game, Diggs and Allen were seen having a heated exchange on the sidelines.

Last June, Diggs didn’t show up to Buffalo’s first day of mandatory minicamp with the Boston Globe reporting shortly afterward at the time that he was unhappy with the Bills.

A month later, Diggs said, “It’s all water under the bridge,” although rumors about his future circled the team all season.

Diggs caught 107 passes for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns as the Bills went 11-6 during the regular season before losing to the eventual champion Chiefs during the divisional round in January.

Buffalo received a 2025 second-rounder from the Texans in exchange for Diggs — who was just two years removed from signing a four-year, $96 million contract extension with the Buffalo at the time.

“I can’t begin to express the amount of love and respect I have for the city of Buffalo,” Diggs said on Instagram after the trade.

“Four of the best years of my life, the city welcomed me with open arms. I’m forever grateful for you all and the [Buffalo Bills] organization! Something special was built over these years with some very special men, that will always have a place in my heart.

“Billsmafia, so many great memories created throughout the years. Those games were crazy because of you. Sadly good things come to an end until we meet again.”
