State police travel to SC, arrest Northumberland man

NORTHUMBERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10)– State police traveled to South Carolina on Tuesday to arrest a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a child in 2022. Police said Siatar K Creech, 36, was charged with the use of a child in a sexual act and more before he fled New York for South Carolina.

Charges

  • Use of a child in a sexual performance (felony)
  • Third-degree rape (felony)
  • Criminal sexual act (felony)

Creech didn’t appear in Saratoga County Court after being arrested and charged in the fall of 2022. Police said Creech was in North Agusta, South Carolina, on May 28 and was taken into custody.


Creech was turned over to Saratoga County Jail and is awaiting arraignment. The United States Marshall Services and Aiken County Sheriff’s Office assisted state police in the investigation.
