Shops at Rockvale hosting block party; celebrating big changes

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — The Shops at Rockvale in Lancaster will be hosting a block party next week to celebrate several new changes at the shopping center.

According to Shops at Rockvale, the public block party will celebrate the arrival of new tenants and relocations at the shopping center. The celebration is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Admission to the event is free.

Some of the recent changes that the Shops at Rockvale are celebrating include:

  • Lee Wrangler relocating into a 12,154-square-foot storefront back on April 27, 2024.
  • Direct Tools expanding into a 5,761 square foot space back on April 25.
  • Rawlings moving into a 6,260-square foot back on March 1, 2024.

In addition to the several relocations, the Shops at Rockvale also announced that they will begin diversifying their offerings by welcoming Kings Amish Furniture, which is set to open its third location inside the former Lenox space on Lincoln Highway.

Shops at Rockvale will also soon be welcoming the arrival of a new Panera Bread, which is currently under construction. The new restaurant will boast a drive-thru lane and outdoor seating; it is expected to open in early Fall 2024.

Moving forward, the Shops at Rockvale are prepping for the start of demolition in late Summer 2024. The demolition will make way for a proposed residential community.

Furthermore, approval of the new Fernmoor Homes by East Lampeter Township sets the stage for 128 luxury apartments across four buildings, which will be known as Mi-Place at Rockvale.

The block party is going to feature live broadcasting by WIOV 105.1, food trucks, bounce houses, balloon artistry, face painting, and a scavenger hunt.
