Shelburn Old Fashion Days are here!
SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Summer is here and the fun is just getting started at the Shelburn Old Fashion Days.
This historical event is held annually by the Shelburn Old Fashion Days Alliance, as a way for the community to have family fun. The festivities started today with a tractor pull contest, vendors, bounce houses, and food. There was also a little miss and mister pageant contest judged by our very own Jen Thompson. Festivities will start back up on Saturday with a parade and will end with a talent show.
Town Marshall Mathew Price said this year they really wanted to make it about the community.
“It just shows the cohesion, it brings you know neighbors out to talk to each other and hang out and have good food and play games have a good time. so its really important both the social and health welfare of the community,” Price said.
