Salem Parks & Rec Fitness Classes Set for the Coming Months

MONDAYS:
CORE & MORE (All levels)
This class is designed to reduce body fat and sculpt muscles through a series of strength training exercises using bands, balls. Free weights, and more. It’s a great program for all fitness levels.
5:30 – 6:30 p.m. with Lori Fadorick
TUESDAYS:
CHAIR YOGA**
Chair yoga uses modified yoga poses that can be done sitting in a chair or standing behind the chair. Excellent for adults who cannot transition to the floor poses.
4:15 – 5:00 p.m. with Susan Kraughto
LIFE BALANCE YOGA
Yoga is a great way to increase joint mobility, improve muscle tone and flexibility, and build balance. Yoga also improves memory, focus, and attention, and promotes an overall sense of well-being.

WEDNESDAYS:
FIT TO THE CORE
This class uses a variety of exercises to constantly challenge your body and give a fun, different workout each week. You will mix body weight exercises with the interval and strength training. Classes are designed to include cardio, strength, core, and conditioning.

SATURDAYS:
FUNCTIONAL FITNESS
Body weight training combined with interval and strength circuits to maximize calorie burn and train all aspects of physical fitness. It also includes functional movement training by integrating movements that train your body and muscles to work synergistically together.
8:30 – 9:30 a.m. with Lori Fadorick
All classes (except Chair Yoga) are offered in 2-month sessions (Jan/Feb, March/April, May/June, July/Aug, Sept/Oct, Nov/Dec)
$30 if taking one (1) class per week
$50 if taking two (2) classes per week
$70 if taking three (3) or more classes per week
$5 drop-in rate per class
**Tuesday and Friday Chair Yoga is a 6-week class for $20 if taking one class per week or $30 if taking two for 6 weeks.
City of Salem employees & school employees are ½ price. Children (6-17) are ½ price.
** Registration form & payment is required for all new students. Checks or cash only. Checks made payable to City of Salem.
All classes are held in the large room in the back of the Salem Senior Center, 110 Union Street (375-3054 for questions).
