Rite Aid store closings 2024: See the full list with 6 N.J. locations

Pharmacy chain Rite Aid has set plans to close 92 stores nationwide in 2024, including six locations in New Jersey.

The company has shut down hundreds of locations since filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October 2023 and beginning to restructure in September.

Rite Aid announced the closures in an attempt to offload more than 3.3 million in debt while tackling more than a thousand federal lawsuits alleging it oversupplied opioids.

The number of Rite Aid locations has dwindled from more than 2,000 to 1,592 nationwide, as of June 21, 2024.
