Police: Knox Woman Caught on Camera Drinking Coffee While Shopping, Attempting to Hide Container on Shelf
BEAVER TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Knox woman was charged for reportedly drinking a coffee drink while shopping in a Beaver Township store and not paying for it.
According to court documents, Clarion-based State Police filed criminal charges against 50-year-old Ronnda Eileen Brewer, of Knox, in District Judge Jarah Lee Heeter’s office on June 12.
According to a criminal complaint, PSP Clarion responded to Tom’s Riverside in Beaver Township, Clarion County, around 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, for a report of retail theft.
A store employee told police she was informed someone had put an empty Starbucks Coffee drink on a shelf. The employee stated that she was able to find video footage of a woman drinking a Starbucks Coffee drink while shopping, the complaint states.
Police reviewed the footage and observed a woman, who was later identified as Ronnda Brewer, grab a Starbucks drink and drink it while she was shopping around 6:33 p.m. on Monday, June 3. An employee followed Brewer throughout the store on video surveillance and watched her attempt to hide the empty container on one of the shelves in the store, the complaint indicates.
The value of the drink was $3.69, the complaint notes.
Brewer’s vehicle and license plate were captured on video surveillance, which led to her identification, the complaint states.
According to the complaint, this is Brewer’s second offense for retail theft.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 2, at 9:15 a.m., with Judge Heeter presiding.
