PlayStation gamers have less than 48 hours to grab free download without PS Plus
PlayStation users can grab a neat digital collectable via PlayStation Stars this week, and all you have to do is play a game.
PlayStation Stars is your one-stop-shop for digital collectables and free in-store credit, as users can partake in a number of challenges, most of which are pretty straightforward, and be rewarded almost immediately for their efforts.
Later this week, Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree will finally release to the masses, check out the latest story trailer below
This week you can claim a very cool reward from one of Ubisoft’s biggest franchises, and it’s not Assassin’s Creed.
The new challenge celebrates Far Cry’s 20th anniversary, and as a special birthday reward, PlayStation Stars users can grab a digital collectable of Boomer, the dog from Far Cry 5, as a rare collectable. All you need to do to claim this freebie is play any Far Cry game before tomorrow, 19 June.
Additionally, Chorizo, the little dog from Far Cry 6 is also going to become a digital goodie, and can be unlocked in the same way, except you’ll need to play any Far Cry title before 24 June.
The good news is you don’t have to actually own a copy of Far Cry to be eligible, if you have Ubisoft+ or PlayStation Plus then you can load up any of the available titles and tick the requirement box.
There’s also no set playtime duration to meet either, you can load up a title for an hour or five minutes and still meet the necessary requirement. What could be simpler?
They’re not the most exciting freebies in the world but the digital trophies PlayStation Stars offers are still kind of cute, and it’s nice to grab them when you can, especially since they usually don’t require much effort to obtain.
