LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)–A 41-year-old man from Marquette is behind bars for stealing from multiple lockers in a Planet Fitness, located at 2380 Cedar St. in Delhi Township.

The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office says seven victims reported their locks had been cut and personal items were stolen out of lockers. One of the seven victims told police their credit card was used at a local business after the theft.

In a news release, the sheriff’s office says deputies were able to locate the suspect after responding to the surrounding areas of fraudulent transactions. Deputies found the man at a South Lansing business.

He is currently lodged at the Ingham County Jail awaiting arraignment for several charges such as larceny in a building and illegal use of a financial transaction device.

The Ighman County Sherrif’s Office says the incident is a great example of closely monitoring financial accounts.
