WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) – A plane was diverted back to Bradley International Airport after an outer-liner of it’s engine was found on the runway shortly after taking off Thursday, according to a representative with United Airlines.

The United #325 flight’s Airbus A320 took off from Bradley at 8:02 a.m., on its way to Denver International Airport.

Airline officials confirmed the flight returned to the airport “a short time later” after a portion of one of the engine’s sound-dampening outer liner was found on the runway.

The plane landed back at the airport safely and officials said there was no impact to airport operations.

The representative said they are working to get the plane’s 124 passengers to Denver still.

Bradley International Airport officials also confirmed the incident.
