An appeal has gone out for volunteers at a second-hand fashion shop in celebration of Volunteers’ Week 2024.

The Emmaus Outfit London Road store in Brighton wants new people to help run it.

Volunteers are needed for various roles including front-of-house, customer liaison, industry researchers and people to prepare the pre-loved and vintage outfits.

Business manager Joel Lewis said: “Volunteers are the backbone of our mission at Sussex Emmaus.

“Their dedication and passion not only drive the success of our social enterprises like Outfit London Road but also directly contribute to transforming lives.

“By joining us, you will become part of a community that empowers people to overcome homelessness.”

Anyone interested in volunteering has been asked to visit the store or get in touch via email at volunteer@emmausbrighton.co.uk.

The store said no previous experience is required for the roles.

Money from sales goes to the Emmaus charity which aims to tackle homelessness by providing accommodation, comprehensive support, subsidised training and work opportunities.
