MANSFIELD — The second episode of the News Man Weekly podcast has dropped.

This week, Richland Source City Editor Carl Hunnell sits down with City of Mansfield Mayor Jodie Perry to talk about a litany of local issues during a 40-minute chat.

The mayor marks her sixth-month in office this week and she and Hunnell talk about challenges she has encountered and positive changes that have been made. Topics included the city’s efforts to curb “cruising” on the Miracle Mile portion of Park Avenue West, the future of the failed West Park Shopping Center, the upcoming $16 million Main Street Corridor Improvement project and even the future of recreational cannabis in Mansfield.

Hunnell is also joined by the show’s producer, Zac Hiser, in taking a look at the latest local news, including a proposed $4.6 million roundabout at the intersection of Lexington-Springmill Road and Home Road.
