Need a job? The MTA is hiring, looking to fill more than 500 NYC positions

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — If you’re looking for a job, the MTA might have a spot for you: The city agency recently listed more than 500 jobs on its website, putting out a call for construction managers, administrative assistants and more.

According to careers.mta.org, the MTA currently employs approximately 70,000 people, but is in need of professionals for a variety of positions, including bus and train operators, engineers, accountants, and policy experts.

“We offer tremendous career and growth opportunities, as well as competitive salaries, comprehensive healthcare plans, and many other benefits,” the website notes.

Positions are available within the different agencies that make up the MTA, most notably MTA Headquarters and Bridges & Tunnels. Applicants can filter their search by the type of job or the location. At the time of publication, one opening was being offered in Staten Island.
