Medic: 1 hurt after car flips near busy south Charlotte shopping center

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A person was seriously hurt after a car flipped on its side near a busy south Charlotte shopping center on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. along Golf Links Drive, just off Providence Road near the Waverly shopping center.

Video from the scene appears to show that the car, a white BMW, veered off the road before crashing and landing on its side. No other vehicles seemed to have been involved.

Medic said the person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It is unclear what exactly caused the crash.
