Max Hikes Prices For Ad-Free Plans Effective Immediately
Starting today, Max will cost you more for ad-free monthly and yearly plans. The move comes just ahead of the Season 2 premiere of HBO‘s House of the Dragon on June 16.
Warner Bros. Discovery has upped the price of the ad-free plan by $1 per month, bringing the new price to $16.99. The yearly ad-free plan will increase by $20 to $169.99. The monthly “ultimate” ad-free plan also will increase by $1 per month to $20.99, and the yearly “ultimate” ad-free plan is up by $10 to $209.99.
The Max with ads plan remains unchanged at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year.
The prices are effective immediately for new subscriptions. Existing subscribers will receive a 30-day notification ahead of their plan renewing and will see price increases with their next billing cycle on or after Thursday, July 4. Current yearly subscribers will not see an increase until renewal.

In addition to House of the Dragon, Max titles include upcoming original series The Penguin starring Colin Farrell and returning series Hacks, My Brilliant Friend, Industry, The Sex Lives of College Girls and Sort Of, as well as NBA, NHL, MLB games.
