Man arrested after commercial burglary of Rush Fitness in Downtown Macon
BIBB COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with a burglary of a Downtown Macon business.
Deputies received a call around 1:26 a.m. on June 19th, 2024 regarding a burglary of Rush Fitness, at 310 Sixth Street.
Through surveillance cameras, an unknown male suspect was seen behind the cash register attempting to take money. Once Deputies arrived, the suspect had fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
After an investigation and search of the area, the suspect was found on Sixth Street, only a few blocks away from the scene.
The suspect, identified as 48-year-old Russell Brent Harrison was taken into custody.
Harrison was then transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, and is charged with Felony Second Degree Burglary.
