Major fire response overnight at Smith’s Farm Market in Benson

BENSON, N.C. — A large firefighter response arrived at a Benson business early Sunday morning.

WRAL’s Breaking News Tracker arrived to Smith’s Farm Market and Garden Center before 5 a.m.

One fire truck was seen with their ladder up high in the air, spraying water down onto the building. There were also multiple ambulances on the scene near Sanders Road.

At least one building seemed to have sustained heavy damage.

It is not yet clear how the fire got started.
