LOOK: Steve Jobs Predicted Apple Intelligence 40 Years Ago, Viral Interview Resurfaces

Long before the massive AI revolution in the present age, some visionaries imagined a world where technology is interactive and human-like, and Apple co-founder Steve Jobs is among those believers. A video interview with the young tech mogul has resurfaced online and gone viral, and here, he discussed his views on what is now known as generative AI.

This specific interview is also dated almost ten years after Jobs and co-founder Steve Wozniak first debuted Apple, the company that started in the Jobs family garage in Los Altos, California.

The Visionary of Apple: Steve Jobs and Apple Intelligence

This vision from Steve Jobs did not come to fruition until WWDC 2024, when Apple introduced its take on generative AI called Apple Intelligence, a technology that has yet to be released to the public. In Jobs’ words, he hopes that the world can experience these kinds of tools, something made possible by the likes of OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, and soon his legacy, Apple.

Remembering Steve Jobs: The Tree That Bore Apple

Every once in a while, people remember the great Steve Jobs, whether on his death anniversary, by attributing a new development of his company to him, or because of Apple auction items that sell at a massive price. One of the most popular inventions of the influential executive was the original Apple-1 computer, which, when it was previously listed in an auction, was listed for as much as $500,000.

However, it is not only technology that Jobs imparted to the world, as he is also known as a philosopher who gave life lessons to many people, including his closest colleagues like Apple’s current CEO, Tim Cook.

Many may argue that Jobs was the tree to which Apple was born, but others claim that he is more than that, as “Steve WAS Apple,” according to one former company employee.

The renowned Apple co-founder and former CEO is credited with his massive work on Mac computers, the iPhone, iPad, and more, but there are ties to him even for Cupertino’s latest technologies. This includes Apple Intelligence, its first and latest take on generative AI, which Steve Jobs predicted almost forty years ago and is now an upcoming reality.
