Evening anchor Megan Conway is no longer with KLKN-TV after her contract was not renewed last month.

Conway had been the evening anchor for the Lincoln ABC affiliate for eight years.
“My contract was expiring May 31st,” Conway posted on social media Tuesday. “During a meeting on that date, I was expecting to sign a new contract, but instead was told management decided to go in a different direction and were not offering a contract renewal.
“I was blindsided with this information, so that’s why there was no goodbye on-air during the newscasts.”
Conway, a native of Indianola, has been at KLKN since 2014, starting as an intern while studying broadcast journalism at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Hired as the morning editor, Conway moved into the roles of reporter, weekend meteorologist and morning anchor before she became evening anchor in 2016.
