Legendary fitness guru Richard Simmons has died, according to multiple reports.

He was 76. No cause of death has been reported.

His death comes just one day after he celebrated a birthday.

According to reports, police were called to Simmons’ home by his housekeeper, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. ABC News reported that no foul play is expected.

Simmons reportedly said he felt good heading into his birthday.

“I’m grateful that I’m here, that I am alive for another day,” he reportedly said. “I’ll spend my birthday doing what I do every day, which is to help people.”

Simmons had reportedly been working on a Broadway Musical at the time of his death.

He announced in March that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer. Also in March, he scared fans by posting on Facebook an announcement that he was dying. He later apologized for “confusion,” and his manager said that he was not dying at the time.
