Laurel hosts first Planet Fitness ‘Dodgeball Bash’

LAUREL, Miss. (WDAM) – Eight teams of quick-footed athletes gathered in Laurel Saturday morning for a first-ever dodgeball competition.

A Planet Fitness “Dodgeball Bash” featured teams from Mississippi and Louisiana.

The event raised funds for the Laurel Main Street organization.

“Laurel’s so good about doing family and fun activities,” said Natalie Kirk, Planet Fitness district manager. “You know, Laurel Leap happens every year as well, so they’re just really big about bringing the community together and raising money for a good cause.”

Teams from Laurel, the Gulf Coast and New Orleans participated.
