Latin Women in Music 2024
Latin music revenue in the United States continues to hit all-time highs, exceeding the $1 billion mark for a second consecutive year on the strength of 16% growth that outpaced the overall market, according to the RIAA.
That success drives Billboard’s decision this year to focus on executives who are U.S.-based or whose main purview is the United States. Our list of 40 reflects women in senior-most positions with demonstrable decision-making power whose companies or artists have had significant chart presence and/or influence on the Billboard charts. To highlight as diverse a pool of executives as possible, we are recognizing one per company.
In addition to our list of 40 executives, we are honoring 10 executives to watch, specifically acknowledging rising talents who show great promise, as well as young executives overseeing the careers of artists who are entering the Billboard charts for the first time and more veteran ones who head smaller companies.
As Latin music’s strength grows globally, we are proud to recognize the expanding legion of women who are driving the business. In addition, eight artists will be honored during Billboard’s Mujeres Latinas en la Música (Latin Women in Music) telecast, produced by Telemundo and airing June 9 on the Telemundo network: Latin Woman of the Year Karol G, Ana Bárbara, Ángela Aguilar, Camila Cabello, Gloria Estefan, Kany García, Kali Uchis and La India.
