Kids go shopping with Orioles player Anthony Santander at DICK’S Sporting Goods

On Friday, 35 young team captains from the local Nike Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program were treated to a shopping experience with Baltimore Orioles Right Fielder Anthony Santander at DICK’S Sporting Goods in White Marsh.

The captains received a $300 gift card and a one-on-one time with Santander to shop, talk baseball and of course laugh and joke with the outfield star.

Santander says he supports the youth in the community and takes full advantage of the opportunity to share his time and talents with the next generation.

The Nike RBI program is designed to give youth across the nation access to baseball opportunities, according to representative Marques Dent.

In Baltimore, the program has nearly 700 participants and is a part of the Baltimore Orioles community youth programs.

D.E.N.T. (Delivering Educational Needs Together) Group and DICK’S Sporting Goods were sponsors of the event.
