Kid Cudi Debuts New Song ‘Dreams I See’ to Accompany ‘Moon Man #3’ Comic Series (EXCLUSIVE)
To accompany his “Moon Man #3” comic series arriving tomorrow, Kid Cudi has debuted his new song “Dreams I See” along with a visualizer, premiering exclusively on Variety ahead of its release at midnight.
Cudi initially launched his “Moon Man” comic series in January alongside co-writer Kyle Higgins, artist Marco Locati, colorist Igor Monti, letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, and editor Michael Busuttil. The series came to fruition in partnership with Image Comics, Black Market Narrative and Mad Solar.
“Moon Man” traces the journey of Ramon Townsend, who becomes something of a celebrity after saving his ship and crew in a near-disastrous moon mission. Townsend is intent on returning to a normal, quiet life back in Cleveland, though the threat of what happened on that mission casts a shadow over his ambitions. In the third iteration of the series, Townsend begins to test the limits of his abilities, until the return of an old friend complicates his life further.
On top of the song and comic release, Cudi has announced the release of a line of limited-edition apparel featuring four designs based on the artwork from the latest installment of the series. Clothing will be available on KidCudi.com starting tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET.
“This might be one of the top three coolest things I’ve ever been a part of. This story is something that took a lot of love from everyone involved, and I’m so excited for the world to finally experience Moon Man,” said Mescudi prior to the launch of the “Moon Man” series. “I promise you this comic will be unlike anything you’ve read before. To each and every person that picks up a copy and shows support in January—I love you more than you can imagine. Thank you!”
