Katie Meets Bill’s New (Old) Girlfriend — and Steffy Finds Out Finn Went to Sheila’s Wedding

At the cliff house, Steffy tells Liam the girls are set up at the pool party next door. She supposes it’s a waste having sent Finn out for pizza now. Liam is hungry and wonders where he is… it’s taking forever. She worries that he’s still not returning her texts and questions if she should have sent him to Il Giardino with Deacon away for his wedding.

At Il Giardino, Deacon tells Sheila, “We did it.” Sheila gushes that they’re Mr. and Mrs. They kiss. Hope clears her throat and congratulated her dad with an embrace. Sheila makes her way over to Finn, thanks him for being there, and says, “I love you, baby.” They hug and Finn looks at Hope over Sheila’s shoulder. Tom asks Finn to witness the marriage license and he reluctantly signs. Tom joins Deacon and Sheila, who thank him profusely. Nearby, Hope tells Finn she can’t believe this just happened. “I just stood up for Sheila Carter as her maid of honor.” She says it was obvious how much it meant to her that he was there. Finn says he thought they were getting married at the beach. Steffy’s not going to be thrilled about this. “Not thrilled at all.”

At Bill’s place, he and Poppy are making out. Poppy suggests they take this upstairs, but he thinks the sofa works just as well. Suddenly, Katie knocks and walks in. She stops short. “Oh, I didn’t know you had company.” Bill didn’t hear the knock, but assures Katie it’s not a problem. He makes introductions and Poppy and Katie shake hands. Bill says Katie must know her daughter Luna. Katie loves Luna. Katie asks about going to see Will this weekend and Poppy gawps, “Oh, you’re that Katie!” Bill and Katie nod. “That Katie.”

They sit and chat. Katie tells Poppy she did a great job raising Luna, who is lovely and just helped her on a big project. She shrugs her shoulders and says Luna never once mentioned that her mom was dating Bill.

At the cliff house, Liam thinks Finn might have gone to the wedding if she hadn’t given him an ultimatum. Steffy’s glad she did. Liam warns her to look out for her husband as Sheila will try to pull him off track. Steffy nods. She’ll be there for Finn no matter what Sheila throws at him.

At Il Giardino, Sheila teases Tom that she’ll toss him the garter on his way out. He’s done with marriage, but thanks her for including him in her ceremony. She thanks him for officiating. “You helped save my life. Will we see you again?” Tom isn’t sure. Deacon joins them and snaps some selfies.

After, Tom insists on taking some photos and wants to gather the wedding party together. Finn has to be cajoled, but joins in. Tom snaps the happy couple and their offspring. “You guys are beautiful.” Deacon takes Tom aside and asks where he’s going after this. Tom admits it’s iffy. Deacon was thinking he could come back during business hours. He’d like to talk to him about working there. Tom tears up. He doesn’t know much about the restaurant business. Deacon will train him himself. He sends him off with some bags of takeout and a toe cookie. “These are really good.”

Deacon rejoins his family and tells Hope it was powerful to have her there. He knows Finn didn’t plan to be there, but it meant the world to his mother. Finn says it was a sweet ceremony, but he really does need to take those pizzas and go. Sheila gives Finn one more hug before his pizzas appear. Deacon says, “Wife, let’s go.” They trot off and Hope wishes Finn good luck on his journey home. She knows he’s a little nervous, but he had no idea this was going to be going on there. Their parents are happy and that’s what matters. Finn doubts Steffy will see it that way. Hope’s not sure she should be the one dictating what his relationship to his Birth Mother™ looks like… that should be up to him. Finn thanks her and urges her to call him if her headaches continue.

At Bill’s house, Katie asks how this budding friendship came about. Poppy explains she and Bill go way back. Bill tells his ex, he met Poppy twenty years ago and they just reconnected. He places his hand on her knee. Poppy’s very glad they did. Katie clears her throat and remarks, “So, you’ve known him for years.” Poppy replies, “I have. You could even say I had him first.” Bill smirks and Katie’s eyebrows go up.

Finn arrives at the cliff house and Liam takes a (cold!) slice of pizza for the road. Steffy questions Finn not answering her texts. He says his phone was on silent. She asks why. Finn waits until Liam’s gone and then tells Steffy she’ll never believe this. He went into the restaurant and there they were, “I never thought that they would be there.” She asks, “Who?” Finn says, “Sheila and Deacon.”

Deacon carries Sheila over the threshold of his apartment and they sit and look at the selfies. Deacon chooses one that includes Hope and Finn and sends it to someone. Sheila can’t believe her son came to their wedding. “I love you so much.” Deacon says, “I love you too, babe.” They kiss.

Liam finds Hope at Forrester, takes in her dress, and groans over her going to Deacon and Sheila’s wedding. “Even Finn found a way to say no.” Hope reluctantly admits that Finn was at the wedding too.

At the cliff house, Steffy guesses Sheila and Deacon knew Finn was coming because they placed the pizza order. Finn says they were just as surprised to see him as he was to see them. He goes on that Hope was there too… apparently, she decided to be Sheila’s maid of honor. Tom, the homeless man, was also there and performing the ceremony. Steffy gawps, “So, you actually walked into the ceremony?!” Her phone makes a noise, so she asks Finn to hold on in case it’s about the kids. She picks it up and goes, “Oh my God. Oh. My. God. What am I looking at? It’s a picture of a wedding photo, of Deacon, Sheila, and you!” That’s why his phone was on silent, because he was at Sheila’s wedding! “Answer me, Finn!”
